12 Days of Christmas Day 2 - special guest Libby Hickson - Hot Chocolate Honey

Hello! Some exciting news in my little corner of Stamp Land - I was asked to guest design for someone!! Yes, ME! Whimsy Stamps!! I was pretty darn excited, because that pretty much never happens. And the stamps are so cute, and so much fun to COLOR, so I am of course in heaven.

For my first post for the 12 Days Of Christmas, I'm working with this lovely girl from their recent October release - Hot Chocolate Honey.

So... I *love* coloring with my Copics, but I'm not one of those people who knows what the heck they're doing when it comes to coloring hair. I just wing it and hope for the best. So if you're expecting the perfection you normally see on the Whimsy blog - well. Let's just say I tried. (I live in Georgia - here in the south you'd just say "bless your heart"...) For the sentiment, I die cut "holiday cheer" in silver glitter paper using the Holiday Word Die Set.

I had a ton of fun coloring this sweet girl and her cocoa, and cannot wait to dive into the rest of my Whimsy Stamps pile! Thanks for having me, Whimsy!  Ya'll are welcome to come by and say hello over at my blog anytime and be sure to come back here tomorrow for more Whimsy holiday card ideas.

12 Days of Christmas Day 1 - special guest Kay Miller - Oh What Fun

Hello there, it's Kay Miller and I have a fun card to share with you today that I created using a stamp set called Oh What Fun and the coordinating What Fun Die set from the Whimsy Stamps September release! This stamp set is designed by Deb Davis aka amped2stamp and is available in the Whimsy Stamps store.

This is a cute stamp set! I had fun coloring all of the images with Copic markers! I think I used every image in the set on my card! I love how they all worked together so well to create my little Christmas snow scene. I first watercolored a background on watercolor paper using Peerless watercolors. Then colored all of the images, and cut them out with the What Fun coordinating dies

I adhered everything with foam tape except for the line of trees, I just glued those down flat.

You can find the Oh What Fun Stamp set and What Fun Dies in the Whimsy Stamps Store!

Be sure to stop in tomorrow for another Whimsy Stamps special guest 12-days of Christmas post!

Kay :)

Christmas Tidings to You & Yours

Hello, friends!  It's Andrea with you to share a card featuring the adorable Christmas Bunny Row rubber stamp.  I don't know what's cuter - their little tails or the sweet face of the bunny turned around.  What do you think?

I stamped those cute bunnies with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with my Copics (Did you know Whimsy know carries Copic markers?!).  After adding some details with a white gel pen, I fussy cut the bunnies.  I coated the snow with Spectrum Aqua Clear Sparkle Overlay and added Glossy Accents to the berries.

For my background I inked up some Bristol Smooth paper with distress inks in the following colors:  Spun Sugar, Scattered Straw, Shaded Lilac, and Wilted Violet.  I flicked on and blotted up some water droplets and then heat-set the panel.  I stamped with Versamark the smallest snowflake from Snow Flurry a few times and white heat-embossed the flakes.

I popped up the bunnies with foam tape onto my background and flicked on some watered-down white paint.  Onto vellum I gold heat-embossed a sentiment from Snowman Tidings.  After bannering the vellum, I wrapped it around the top of my background panel and adhered it to the back.  I also added some drops of glue behind the sentiment so that it would lie flat on the front.  Finally, I adhered the whole thing to a top-folding white card.
